The Root Of Pride

The last episode, we talked about the root of rejection. You can find it in the list below. Today we talk about pride and how it affected us and some steps out. We will be going into greater detail about these roots in future episodes. 

Pride is the very attitude of a man’s heart that directs his life. In the fall of Lucifer, the Bible says: EZEKIEL 28:17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor...” ISAIAH 14:13-14 “For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will also sit on the ‘mount of the congregation, on the farthest side of the north’, I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High...” Note the five “I will’s” of pride that originate in Lucifer.

1. How to Destroy The Root of Pride

   1.  Ask God to show you the deception of pride.

   2. Repent for being prideful.

   3.  Release the deceptions of pride.

   4. Change the motivation of your life from pride to love.

   5. Humble yourself before the Lord.

The root of every sin and evil is pride. The root of all virtue is humility. Pride will push us up. Rejection will push us down. We must be free from both and let God exalt us.
